Selection Process

Mathematics: Number System, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Distance, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Profit & Loss, SI & CI, and Statistics.
Reasoning: Analogies, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, Decision Making, and Analytical Reasoning.
General Awareness: Current Affairs, Polity, Economy, Geography, History, and General Science.
General Science: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (up to 10th standard).
Technical Section (CBT-II): Stream-specific engineering topics along with Computers, Environment, and Pollution Control.

RRB Zones & Headquarters
The RRB JE examination is conducted across 21 regional boards, including Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Prayagraj, Ranchi, and Secunderabad, among others. Each region manages recruitment for its respective railway divisions.
Cut-Off and Qualifying Marks
- UR: 40%
- OBC / SC: 30%
- ST: 25%
Cut-off marks are published after the completion of each CBT stage based on zone-wise performance.
Admit Card & Results
Admit cards will be available for download about a week before the exam date from the official RRB portals. Results and cut-offs will be declared online, followed by document verification and medical testing.
